About This Role
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and scale the core infrastructure that powers SkillRouter. You'll work on our skill execution engine, API gateway, and distributed systems that handle millions of requests per day.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement scalable backend services in Python and Go
- Build and optimize our skill execution pipeline for low latency
- Develop APIs that serve thousands of AI agents worldwide
- Collaborate with ML engineers on skill discovery and routing algorithms
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decisions
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python or Go
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI/ML systems or LLM applications
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Open source contributions
- Experience at a high-growth startup
